Yay again! I even found a fic I'd forgotten about!

i just read your orlijah snippets for halloween over at insanejournal, and i like them! the part with the glasses is hilarious, elijah saying that he would tell orli how he looked, if he could se a thing *lol* and of course tina turner and Elvis costumes... *giggles*

i really did well, planting the orlijah seed back in "babe in boyland". *nods*

Heh, I never commented to this, but YES, you did do well:) I'm getting some mileage out of these two!

[itstonedme.livejournal.com]

Heh, you! Rhetorical question: How come my LJ never alerted me to the fact that YOU HAD A BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY??? I hope you had a fabulous day. You are a wonderful LJ friend, always supportive and enthusiastic, and so I hope your day was filled with goodness and laughter and maybe a touch of smut:-)

[yukisherry.livejournal.com]

*lol* why yes, i had a fabulous birthday! i laughed a lot and there was loads of food and friends and stuff. smut? well, i got a shirt with the inscript as it is diplayed on my icon... does that count? ;)

*cuddles*

Hi, I just wanted to congratulate you on the opening ceremonies for the Olympics. It was amazing, simply beautiful. Didn't know kd lang is Canadian, I love the song and she did a fab rendition. What a voice that opera singer has! Don't think I ever heard the hymn sung quite like that. Anyhow, hope all goes well for the games, but you can be proud - hope your traffic isn't screwed for the next 16 days *smile*. Congrats again!

Well, I'd like to say I'll take the credit for the opening ceremonies, but unfortunately, I can't. :) For the most part, I enjoyed the show. I think the only Canadians they didn't truck out were Paul Anka and William Shatner. k.d. lang is an Albertan girl through and through. She actually performed at the last Canadian Opening Ceremonies in 1988, all decked up as a cowgirl in her droog-like boots, singing Patsy Cline. She did a fabulous job of Leonard Cohen tonight. The Spirit Bear and the ice floes on the floor, and the prairie flyer -- that part of the show was really well done. The fiddlers, wow! As I mentioned to someone else, it was Mad Max meets Braveheart meets Cape Breton. The torch lighting was a little iffy, but not a big deal. It would have been nice for the torch to have been lit right away outside, but given that it pours rain throughout the winter in Vancouver, this was probably for the best, for everything to be indoors. I'm so glad you watched it and enjoyed it, and I love that you wrote to tell me so. *hugs*
